The Botswana Mine Workers Union re-affirms commitments to the principles of free and democratic Trade Unionism as enunciated by the laws of Botswana and ILO Conventions. Believing that in unity lies strength, we are determined to end the fragmentation of the past as well as bring into being a new world from the current and historical mineworker injustices by creating into one union, workers employed in the mining, queries, energy, chemicals and allied industries.We believe that freedom of expression and association guaranteed by the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the Constitution of Botswana must be translated into conditions affecting workers lives and their relationship with their employers.
